I. Ator Protocol Overview
❓Introduction
Privacy/Anonymity, ※ Decentralized network for distributing rewards to Tor Relay operators
Native token $Ator will be provided to network contributors as an incentive, aiming to Realize extensive internet privacy
※ Network Contributors = Tor Relay Operators
Developing Ator's own hardware, allowing anyone to participate in network relays without requiring technical expertise (Currently unreleased)
Enabling a global privacy network through LoraWAN support in the future (Ultimate Goal)
Similar to Helium within Web3, it aims for a decentralized wireless network through individuals' participation
🧅Tor Relay
Tor Relay (Source : Tor Browser)
Tor is a web browser that ensures anonymity
The abbreviation for Tor is 'The Onion Routing'
'Onion Routing' involves adding numerous intermediary points, such as computers, along the communication path to the final destination
Due to layering numerous computers (Relays) to enhance anonymity, it's referred to as "onion”
Being an open network, Tor allows anyone to contribute and participate as a relay in the network ****
Relays are computers where the relay functionality of the Tor software operates, serving non-profit volunteer purposes (Link)
※ As the number of relay operators increases, network speed accelerates, and internet anonymity becomes more fortified
💥Problem
In an era of monetizing big data and user activity information, the assurance of privacy and personal information protection within the online space is increasingly compromised
As centralization and operation by massive corporations increase, it ensures that privacy inevitably becomes more challenging
= In decentralized networks built by independent individuals, privacy issues can be addressed
A network composed solely of volunteers has inherent limitations due to its non-profit nature
= Enhancing the Need for Token Incentives
🔭Vision&Mission
The goal is to enhance the Tor Network, an open and decentralized network, to build a genuine web privacy network
= Through the $Ator reward system, we will understand the efforts of relay operators (Recognition)
Through the $Ator reward system, active individual participation in relay operation and the establishment of a widespread decentralized network become achievable
By offering Ator Relay hardware, non-tech users can also become Tor Relay Operators
= ※ Individuals can enhance their internet anonymity and censorship resistance on their own
🛠️Service&Product
1. Ator Dashboard (Tor Relay)
Relay Fingerprint
Ator Dashboard
= The place where relay operators prove ownership of relays to receive $Ator incentives
Those eligible to receive $Ator rewards include Tor Relay Operators (= Nodes) or Ator Relay Operators
It's possible to install and operate Ator Relay on a VM without the need for Ator Relay hardware (Official : Youtube Link, Docs, Unofficial : Link)
linking the relay fingerprint with an Ethereum wallet address, rewards are calculated based on proof of uptime, determining $Ator rewards accordingly
Built on Ethereum Mainnet
The final weight for proof of uptime will consider both uptime and bandwidth (Not Fixed)
Consensus Weight = Bandwidth + Uptime (Not Fixed)
※ This registration process does not require gas fees; however, claiming rewards will incur gas fees
Currently, registration is possible, but $Ator rewards are not being provided at the moment (Ator Relay Reward Wallet)
Real-time contributions to the blockchain-based storage, Arweave, allow for monitoring of actively contributed data
As of August 14th, approximately 230 individuals are registered and operating relays, which constitutes just about 3% of the total number of Tor relays. This is insufficient to be considered a substantial achievement for the Ator Protocol
2. Ator Relay Hardware
Ator Relay Hardware
Ator Relay Hardware (Not released yet)
Pre-orders are planned to be accepted starting from the third quarter of 2024
Enabling even non-tech users to easily operate relays
Operable through users' home Wi-Fi or Ethernet connections, low-power relay hardware

$Ator tokens are required for purchasing Ator relay hardware (specific details are not provided)
Reallocating a portion of the Uniswap LP Tax back into LP (= Buyback Effect)
Governance, Dao
Improved tokenomics, including the $Ator reward system and the allocation of the tax, will be released soon
🦾$Ator Inflow&Rewards
$Ator Inflow&Rewards
Although not currently supported, the addition of DAO functionality through $Ator staking is anticipated
※ Securing a sufficient number of relay operators will be the cornerstone of protocol sustainability (the beginning of a virtuous cycle)
III. Competitor (Decentralized Wireless Network)
🥊Competitor
During valuation, reference to protocols with similar or identical objectives in existing industries or markets is possible; however, as comparables decrease, the accuracy of the evaluation may diminish
Helium
Helium
Helium Miner - Bobcat Miner 300
Decentralized wireless network that enables the creation of a global coverage network through hotspot devices, supporting Internet of Things (IoT) applications
= The goal is to provide universal access to Wi-Fi and the Internet anywhere, anytime, through hotspots operated by individuals located all around the world
※ The Helium Miner, Helium's owned hardware, is available from various suppliers, and a notable model, the Bobcat 300, is priced at $429
The source of the internet for individually operated hotspots originates from existing internet service providers (ISPs)
Currently, approximately 950,000 hotspots are operational within the global Helium network
Earn $HNT, $IOT, $MOBILE
Operating a hotspot can earn reward tokens $IOT and $MOBILE on the Solana mainnet (link)
The network migrated to the Solana mainnet in April 2023, and previously, rewards were obtained in the form of $HNT
※ Operating a hotspot can provide wireless coverage to users, and as the transferred data increases, rewards also increase in a proportional structure (= Proof of Coverage, Data Transfer)
$Helium
In the context of enabling anyone, regardless of technical knowledge, to become a network contributor and earn token rewards, Helium garnered significant attention and anticipation in the 2021 cryptocurrency market
= Aligned with the blockchain's emphasis on individual participation and decentralization
The era when utilizing tokens for passive income was trending (P2E, M2E, Node, Etc)
Considering past success stories and the current price and market cap of $HNT, it still suggests the feasibility of adopting cryptocurrencies as rewards to establish a decentralized wireless network where individuals can contribute
☝️However, Ator cannot be compared to Helium
$HNT Supply Schedule
With the goal of supporting Protocol’s hardware and establishing a widespread decentralized wireless network, Ator and Helium share similar objectives
※ However, it's important to note that the success of Helium was significantly influenced by its tokenomics
65% of $HNT Total Supply is distributed to hotspot operators
30% = Data transfer
30% = Hotspot infrastructure(Consensus&Proof of Coverage)
= The design ensures that hotspot operators receive a significant distribution of $HNT, fostering anticipation for active network participation
$Ator Tokenomics
In the case of Ator, only 10% of $ATOR Total Supply is distributed to relay operators
※ This tokenomics structure makes it difficult to anticipate active network participation from a large number of relay operators, which is a key challenge for the protocol
Expecting a success trajectory similar to Helium's when Ator relay hardware is launched and the $Ator reward system is operational might be unrealistic
✍Comments
No comparable protocol to Ator, other than Helium, could be identified for comparison
Among protocols with similar purposes, there are no other notable ones apart from Helium that have gained attention; there have been very few attempts as well
Moreover, the tokenomics structure that directly maximizes rewards for network contributors likely played a significant role in Helium's success. Conversely, the tokenomics structure of Ator, which is contrary, may pose challenges for success upon the official launch of the service
= It would be difficult to use $HNT as an example for evaluating and predicting the $Ator token price assessment and price trends
IV. $Ator Valuation
※ As the Ator Protocol has not officially launched key services and products such as the $Ator reward system and Ator’s Relay hardware, it is challenging to find performance-related data. Consequently, due to a lack of applicable data, objectively assessing the value of $Ator could be difficult
= The current value(Token Price and MarketCap) of $Ator is primarily determined by speculative investments based on the vision, which might not necessarily be rational
Dex
However, it's worth noting that $Ator is not listed on reputable CEX (Like Binance) and primarily trades on DEX (Decentralized Exchanges), which could impact its trading dynamics
This year, the cryptocurrency market is being led by decentralized exchanges (DEX)

✍Comments
$Ator is positioned in a sector that doesn't fall under the narratives (Lsd, Bot, Gamble, Etc) that emerged in the 2023 cryptocurrency market. Therefore, if it gains more attention, there's potential for it to rise significantly in price by aligning with a new narrative
Primarily traded on DEX, tokens related to notable narratives have all exceeded (FDV) of $100m. In contrast, $Ator has a relatively lower market capitalization(Current FDV, $56M)
However, considering the recent trends in the cryptocurrency market where protocol performance metrics like Fees and Revenue are highly valued, it's worth noting that the ※ Ator Protocol could potentially be vulnerable to being labeled as a common scam project
= Currently, a rational approach towards the price of $Ator is not feasible
